Feel Like I Got Here Late

I know you guys probably hashed this out in the early days of the Vision and V but I got here late. I have a new VX and I am curious about air tests. Do the machines show anything that is accurate in the typical house? Mine doesn't show much depth on coins, even cranked up a little. The only program that seems to have good depth is Hi Pro. I looked at the specs and it doesn't seem to be cranked up a lot higher than some of the other programs.
How about rehashing this? I am hoping that emi and not being truly ground balanced makes these types of tests horribly inaccurate. I haven't had much field experience with the machine to judge if it goes deep. My instincts say that it does a good job.

Thanks, Don

As you have already figured out, air tests, especially indoors just don't work well. I'm sure actual in ground testing in your test garden will show the VX has great depth.

Ground balance would have no effect on the air tests. All G/B does is make the ground invisible to the detector which doesn't need to be done indoors.
