FEEDBACK NEEDED ON 1266X:please:

For those who use a 1266x: heard several methods using one or two disc's,some say they only use # 1 disc. set at 5---6,other say use both disc's and the # 2 set at 3.:shrug:So whats the best settings for silver?Thank you.

#1 set at 3 and #2 set at 5-1/2 is what I use on hunting for silver.

I set disc 1 just below 5 where i am getting a solid signal on a nickel. Disc 2 where it is breaking up on a pull tab then look in disc 1 when you get a signal go to disc 2 and check to see if it is breaking up if so it could be a pull tab.For deep silver you will need a 10.5 coil this machine will go very deep.Run your sens as high as you can with out getting to much chatter.HH Bill.

one more thing about the 1266x nickels tabs and a lot of gold rings are going to be the same.so most of the time i dont use disc 2.I set the machine up with a nickel and dig all targets.unless you want to cherry pick then turn the disc up to 8 or 9 you will still get the silver coins and silver rings. But you will not get the good gold.BILL

Thank you guys---I have a 10.5 coil ,wow its heavy to swing:shocked:

One of the apparently best kept secrets of swinging those big coils is to shorten the rod and get the coil closer to your feet.
It should only miss your toes by a few inches. In the 'old days' we had to swing detectors all day that frequently weighed well over 5 pounds.
So we used less arm muscle and more body structure.
(Still, I must admit, I think my right arm is longer than my left one now :) )

Going off Topic slightly, I think this could hold true. A friend of mine was a metal spinner for many years, if you looked at the right hand side of his body he looked like the Incredible Hulk (but not green) his right arm was like Popeye's 'after the spinach' but the left side of his body was all wimpish like Olive Oil's. That's what he got for doing something for a long time just using part of his body.
