February Special on the XTerra 50

Until the end of the month; buy a new XTerra 50 and receive a free battery charger and 4 NiMH batteries. And, you can purchase the new 9" 18.75 Khz coil for half price! Call us to order: 615-860-4333. Good hunting, David @ Dixie www.dixie-metal-detectors.com

.. offer the XTerra 50 with the 18.75 Khz coil instead of the stock one? There are probably a number of people out there that aren't thrilled about having 2 coils of the same size kicking around, especially if they hunt jewellry & low conductors. The other coil would be relegated to expensive paperweight status.. hard to sell a stock coil too. ..Willy.

The reason is the stock coil would be more popular for 95% of the people and would require the dealers to stock only a few of the other ones for those that want the higher freq coil. Now this can get very confusing and could cause a mix up in boxes. I feel this is why there is only one Explorer XS II Pro not one with the 8 inch coil instead of the 10.5 or one with the rechargeable and one without.
If you check with one of the sponsoring dealers you will find like David say you can get the X-Terra 50 and buy the 18.75 coil for a very reasonable price, so you will have both coils. This is only a special from Minelab for the month of Feb, so you will have to order it soon. I will say it is a very reasonable price for the extra coil and it will make everyone happy.

If you purchase a new Minelab, or plan on it soon, get yourself a February copy of Lost Treasure. The coupon inside will get you a $50 Savings Bond. We've been submitting them for our customers but you must mail us the original coupon. Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Then what about those that got the first X-Terra and got the Christmas special of free extra 2 year warranty, the carrying bag and the nice treasure bag. That was the special then and this is the special now. If Minelab was to give the same deal to those that bought the X-Terras before, then those bought now should also get the Christmas special too then.

....is just stop with all the "specials" horse$hit, offer a decent CASH discount on the machines they want to move, and stop pushing the accessory garbage on the customers who can usually do without it. Or better yet, just price the damn things at a respectable level in the first place, give the customer a decent and competitive warranty period, and do away with the marketing gimmicks. All of this over-valued "specials" BS just makes the whole company and their merchandise look like some kind of cheesy carnival-barker prize doled out to a bunch of suckers. Very few serious detector users or buyers are falling for this nonsense anymore. Don't pull a KellyCo at the corporate level, and try to convince me that your $3.50 carry bag made in Taiwan or China has a "value" of $89.95 or whatever. Just offer me good honest value and cut out the gimmicks crap and you will be much more likely to get my business and loyalty to your product. But play me for a sucker, and I'll take a walk every time.
