fe Co numbers

So I coin hunt mostly and I like silver but what does gold rings and gold coins come in at on the etrac. Everything I seem to find is about silver. I know the numbers may change slightly due to soil mineralization

from foil range up to zinc penny range depending on K and size

So I'm not finding much of anything past 3 or four inches... even when it says 6 on the scale I'm still hitting 3 inches and the targets there. Maybe I have my detector set up wrong. Thought about a factory reset but would lose all the programs the guy I bought it off of put on it.. :(

what do you have you sens set at or what is it running at in Auto ?

what coil ? small coil's don't go as deep ?

The goodies have to be there in order to find them (not being a smart aleck) but there may not be "deeper" stuff at that site? But if there "should" be, you can still dig it in pounded areas by simply slowing down, paying attention and having confidence.

There may not be... I would expect there to be. We have found alot of stuff there and a ton of silver. I am coming from the minelab safari. So far so good. Just didn't know if I was missing stuff. I go slow. Kinda have to. I hunt 90% in the woods and the underbrush makes it hard to swing fast.

for me woods finds tend to be more shallow

it does too have something to do with it, in mild soil your can see in the high 20's on sens with A+3 ... had one spot yesterday it hit 28 if you look you will see it tells you where the sens is running ... highly mineralized you can see it is running in the teens. for me when I want to run in manual it gives me a good starting point.

22 to 24 +3 in auto

22 to 24 is nothing do with Auto + 3! I test 10 and 30 on Auto +3 is the same in my coin garden. Number is for manual!

this makes no sense how can you test it on 10 and 30 when it's in Auto, it is running where it thinks is best you have no say

Chicago john.... just curious and this is way off topic... but being deaf must be really hard when most people say to run off sound from etracs. Just wondering if you have modified your detector in any way? Makes me wonder if a transmitter couldn't be fitted to the audio output and turned into signal that a device like Google glass could pick up and display the sign wave for specific tones... with adreno unites it's very possible. ..

I use vibration ....vibraphone 280 and keep eye on id target. I test on clean ground and 3 years old coin garden various from 5 to 10 inch deep. I air test coin Quarter at manual 1 is 11-47 on AUTO 3 plus and I feel vibration then I turn manual way up to 30 and test quarter ....feel vibration and quarter is 11-47. so 1 and 30 is nothing do with auto. When you use auto then manual number is nothing no matter what number you set up! Number is for manual!

I turn auto off and use manual only then number 1 and 30 is big different! Use auto then number is nothing and machine do all the work and I can see machine said 21 or 24 or 25 then its fine and if its so low as 12 depends on ground then I set up manual only and use few number higher then see what happen. When I set too high and too many fault...digging and nothing there! For some people prefer manual and do very well then its great! Easier for me is Auto!
