Father and son time...

My son Nick (12) wanted to go digg'n with his dear ole dad so we headed out in search of some coins. We first stopped at a school yard because Nick is interested in finding coins in general but he would love to find silver! We hunted the school yard with average results and he was enjoying himself. After about 2 hours, he asked if I would take him to a Civil War campsite and try and find some civil war bullets in a church field. Without a second thought, off we went in search of cwbullets. We spent the remainder of the day in the churchyard and found several cw bullets. My son found his second cw bullet, it's a fired .58cal 3 ringer in beautiful shape. Man, was he happy and so was his Dad!!! He are some picks we took of the day's event.

You bet Andrew! He would love that!!! Stay cool, it's going to be a hot one this week! WHEW!!!

That's really cool, Steve. You can see how happy your boy was in your picture and that's great to see. I have a 3 year old and I took him "treasure hunting" the other day around our cabin here in Colorado (hard to keep them interested for long when they're 3). But he had a great time and didn't want to stop searching. We found a few old pieces of metal which got him a bit interested, but then we found a penny and, whoa, he was hooked!

I look forward to the time when he's older like your boy so he can swing along side his dad!
