Been about 18 months, little over 4,000 coins. Who can guess ? pieces of trash. Before this losing streak I averaged 5 pieces of gold for four years. Anything from light ear rings to a few very nice rings. Certainly no great amount, but kept me really happy. Since then, as far as gold , it's been doom & despair. Three solid months at the beach rest of the year park hunting. Dug some silver, plenty of tungsten, even a nice watch. But gold zip. Buddy of mine, at the beach last year. We both hunt pulse induction. Anyway he spotted me wading, walked down to within 40 yards of me. Pulled two gold rings, and thought he had another (fake). Almost a hat trick. That was last winter. I have no answer to this losing streak. Except the fickle finger of fate. Like any losing ball team, it's got to end. Maybe.

This year has been tough for me. Gold, Silver and clad coin finds all down considerable. I have four gold rings this year and two of them were returned to the owner. Six hours at the beach this morning and a total of $1.30 in clad. That FFF has been working overtime.

Ha........ come to Fl and deal with the red tide..... nasty stuff is keeping thousands off the beaches from Naples to Bradenton. I hunted IN the stinking stuff the last two days......... i saw a total of 10 people get in the water combined...... theres just no gold to get out there recent drop wise and no real sand movement. Kids are back in school now to....... so locals wont be on the beach much either except weekends IF this tide goes away.
