fat eagle button id

Depending on the back it might be a late 19th century/early 20th civilian copy of a naval button

This same eagle style button has been used by the U.S. Navy since before the Civil War. The back and backmark are very important in dating the button. Can we get a description or pic of the back?

Didn't know that type of eagle was in use so long. The back is missing so I guess there is no way to get a specific date.
Thanks for the info.

If the back is gone, it's probably because it had a steel back that rusted out. That would make it a 20th century button.
