Fast Tracker Question

New member
Picked up a Fast Tracker off Craigslist over the weekend. Always wanted to try a BH. Lady only wanted $15.00 so I said why not. Seems like a decent little detector with quick response. The high/low tones was a nice surprise too. I kinda like the simplicity of it compared to my other machines. On air test I get 5.5" on a Quarter and 5" on a dime. Which is really about all I need for hunting clad at schools and parks. My question is, is this air test about par or should it do a little better? Also doesn't matter where the sensitivity is set air testing. I get the same results at the beginning and end of the range. Think it needs a tune-up? Thanks Mike

Test results are about normal, but the sensitivity knob may not be totally functional. It seems like you would get a little difference on the fringe of detection at the highest setting.
