Friday after work BadJim and I went door knocking....we knocked on 4 or 5 houses and no one was home, we call that the friday nite curse! Well we spied another one, the grass was 7-8" tall, but it was old, we knocked and someone was actually home and gave us permission.
Started hitting wheats right off the bat, second dig was a spill of 6 wheats, then I get a deep bouncy signal that was kinda like a wheat signal, but would go up to iron, I dug anyhow and about 8" down out pops this well worn barber dime. Go a few more minutes and I get a solid signal where it appears an old sidewalk used to be. I get the ODDEST pocket spill I can ever remember digging
2 memorial pennies both 1960
1 wheat penny
1951 rosie
1944 merc
and 2 nails!...lol
I then got a screaming 11-47 and at 3" I get the barber quarter, this baby is TOAST, it was black and had crust on it, I think it went thru a fire.
Jim got a bunch of wheats, silver, buffalo......man another GOOD farm yard. And I know we missed stuff because a lot of areas the grass was so tall we couldn't get into it.
Still kept my silver streak alive! I think this maybe the longest I have ever went with so many consecutive hunts digging silver.
