Farm Token

Member
Found this near a creek up north here. It says Barlett Farm. I dont think its a tag from fruit a tree, like they had for roses- but I dont know. There where some early folks with farms of that name in the area. It is copper. I suppose they came in all shapes- is this a classic token shape? Im trying to determine if there is some letters obliterated from the center. There is nothing on back. Did they have old farm tokens? Thanks for any input, CO

Maybe they used it like a dog tag but for cows n such in case they got loose

Thanks for the input. Theres no hole in it as you might have to hang it on a collar or a critter. CO

It could be a tomato token........pickers would get a token for each bushel of tomatoes picked...Tokens would be turned in for money when picking was over..

I found a token that was exactly the same shape down to the lines around the edge but mine said klate farm on one side and good for quart milk on the other.
your token may be a dairy token possibly?

That is very interesting. Im going to make a big effort to "read" the back, now that I have your input, thanks, CO
