this is the east farm field , and differs from the other one , in the typs of things I am finding , the other farm field was full of slugs . Round balls all kinds i alway would find sevearal but not in this new field i have not found one slug yet and no shot shells but one i have found broken parts from the hay cutter i do think this was a hay field and was not hunted very much at all but i found a nice heavy brass handls and some other things in the one picture you can see how much i have covered and whear i have to go about 1/2 mile long and i am only going out 25 ft from the edge so far i was using the GT as this machine is deep on silver with the 10" coil operating in pinpoint i can get a very diggable signal on a dime at 11" deep the gold bug does not like silver it only gets 7" on a quarter so i left that behind that uses the 5" coil well hope some silver comes out of this spot --. Its not trashy I go along a long way befor getting a signal most of the time but its good to know the GT has the depth on silver to let me know it down thear talk soon Gunnar in Minnesota

Fine looking field. There are guys who only hunt farm fields, and do rather well with some amazing coins and other finds. The quantity might not be that much, but the quality of the finds usually is. 10" is good in plowed ground like that. Minelabs don't like disturbed ground as well as some other machines. Also, sometimes these fields have a large tree left in the middle of them to provide shade for the workers on a hot day during breaks. Those are killer spots. If the field doesn't have one in the middle of it, look for large trees on the edge of the field that are old enough to have provided shade to them many years ago.

Nice relic hunt gunnar. The best part: you have it all to yourself!

me and the turky hunters -- who dont want me around , when they are parked in the morning i stay out

I'm trying to get my woods hunting in before May 1st if the weather will cooperate. Turkey hunting season does not start till May in my area. I enjoy the woods this time of the year, you can see land features better.
