I didn’t even think I was going to find a penny today as my heart really wasn’t too much into it but that all changed after I found the silver looking coin. The area I found it in was right next to an old potato cellar. ( This is the park that is all grown in with trees and shrubs) The area is saturated with iron ( due to being a picnic area) and decided to perform the super turtle slow scan with the 5x8 coil on the AT Pro. I was running with the iron audio on and could hear all the iron grunting / popping but then this little baby high chirp sang through the iron. About 1/2" deep out pops a 1933 coin from Switzerland! Ultimately I was able to isolate the signal quite well and provided an 82 in T-ID. I know why everyone missed this with their detector - they were going to fast. I can say this as I hit this area myself many, many times with different detectors including the AT Pro. I just needed to go slooooow. Not too far away I found an 1882 IH cent. Almost didn’t dig it as the nail was throwing off the tone in most every direction. However I decided to "iron out" the signal and hit it from multiple angles. "That ironing out" helped me partially isolate a high tone / T-ID. That is when I decided to investigate the signal. Glad I did! Thanks for looking. - Jim
