Fantastic day at the beach

I went to the beach this afternoon and checked out a new place. It was loaded with targets. I found three silver coins. Two half dollars and a dime. Also found a couple of wheat pennies. I was give out from digging targets. The silver was black when I found it. I put them in electrolysis for a while then used some flitz. The beach is eroded and targets are everywhere. All the sand is gone. I tell you the quattro is one fine machine. This place is loaded with iron and the quattro will pull the coins right out. I hunted all metal and listened for the high tone. The slightest high tone and there would be a coin there. Only dug three or four pieces of trash. Good luck to everyone.

Wow Nocanfind,
You sure did find them! That long thingy with all the slots is part of a harmonica or mouth organ. Find alot of those on the goldfields. Hope you like fishing, because from all the sinkers, you"ll soon need a bucket, like me! The coins are a great find. Good on you! I'd be going back again and again if it was me, to that same spot. Happy Hunting!
Cheers Angela:)

finn55cats I found these on Carlsbad beach in southern California. The surf here has been unusually high and removed almost all of the sand in places. All of these were found in the rocks or cobblestones. I don't know if the high surf deposited them there or they were already there and the sand has been removed where you can get to them.I am very new to beach hunting and just learning.

Man, if your just learning, I'd like to see how you do in a year or two. You'll probably need a bucket every time you go out to fill it up with coins. Looks like your doing just fine, and I know exactly which beach your talking about. Your right. The surf has been really big lately and it makes sense that there would be a lot of beach action. I wanted to go up there or to Swami's to shoot some surf video, and I missed it because I had to move that week. Talk at you later, and I'll try and get a hold of you after I settle down a bit.
