Anyone ever try one of these Chinese 6000 Pro XL knock-offs ? I see it only weighs 2.9 lbs. and can be had for around $150 . If it only worked HALF as well as my old 5900 I would consider getting one.

I had one when i first got back into detecting about 5 years ago. You'd be better off getting a used Ace 250 or 150, or a compadra, or a Bounty Hunter, White's Bulls Eye ll, or just about anything.
It's built poorly.

Now wait a minute! If you can spend 150.00 for that I see no problem for you finding a used 'real' detector for 150.00.
Post a WTB on the classified section with the dollar amount you want to spend. Becareful if Uncle Willy wants to deal.

I just dashed to eBay and saw a Ace 150 and several others that are now under your 150.00 range and ending soon
