These are a few relics I found on my farm. The farm has been in my family as far back as known. So as far as i know anything I find is part of my family's history and early American history.I have photos of my great grandpa working mules, horses and oxen on this land. Also he had 11 brothers that helped work the land with him. My great great grandparents is as far back as I know of. I have found alot of broke farm related items .It must have been rough living in those times.

Great job. Finding items that belonged to your grandpa would be very fun.
Keep us posted on all your finds.
Thanks for sharing.

Those are cool finds. I too live on my family farm (150 years) and most of my relics including what is in my avatar , and more, were found here. It makes them more special when you know that they came from your own place.

The object on the top right and bottom right is made the same just different sizes. They are off of a single tree which is the round pole looking thing that when in use is located behind a horse .The pole has a small bracket on each end which hooks to the horse harness. The big one"the one in the upper right of the picture" is located in the center of the pole which is what a plow or other implements would be hooked to.Hope that is a good enough description from some one that is a cattle farmer and knows nothing about horses.

thats good tonyb that all that youve found can be attributed to your ancestors working farm. its not often we get to hear about stuff like that, and gives everything you found a lot of family provenance. the future generations will appreciate your finds too. hh,
