Family Prospecting Vacation in Colorado

As a new member to this forum, I am interested in spending two weeks this summer prospecting in Colorado. I have three adult children and their spouses, along with my wife looking forward to the adventure. We would like to spend time panning, detecting, sluicing and enjoying the outdoors. Any suggestions for this green horn and his crew?
