Hi All, was out for an hr or so with the ATP today and it seems I'm getting hits on cans and coins with no discrepancy. Same sounds and numbers no matter what settings I use. I'm still learning the md but is this odd? The md was also used when I got it. All help is much appreciated.

Try doing a factory reset. hold the power button in a couple of seconds. I use mine in standard mode only works grate. BUT WILL NOT WORK IN PRO MODE GOES CRAZY.
MY SETTINGS IN STD. MODE ARE IRON DIS. 40 SENS 2 NOTCHES FROM TOP STD 0 MODE. NOTCH OUT NOTHING. I DO LAKE HUNTING MOSTLY 95% OF THE TIME.
MY BEST FIND THIS YEAR IS A ROLEX AND AROUND 300.00 DOLLARS IN CHANGE 4 MEN'S WEDDING BANDS I PLAT AND MORE

Do you have Iron Audio turned on? I don't use Iron audio, but every once in a while I accidentally hit the button and it makes all the mid and high tones the same tone. Might also need to send it in to Garrett for a check-up. Their turn-around time isn't that bad, depending on where you live.

Good luck and HH!

Thanks guys! Did the reset multiple time, also I've turned iron audio on just to try and separate. It's more me than the unit I'm sure. I've searched threads and found that's probably the case.

A can, particularly if crushed and is a few inches, deep will sound and read like a coin often times. The give away that it is a can is it has a big feel to it where as a coin small. We all, though, will dig a deep can now and then. HH jim tn
