[/img] Went back to the same fairgrounds that gave me the Indians last time how these are still there don't know one was 2 inches deep the others at 4 inches . I will say this the 6 inch coil can sniff them out all had iron in the hole it was nice to dig shallow plugs to see how the iron was laying with the coins one was standing upright with a square nail to the side and above still got a 12.35 one way the other way was silent .

I have detected here on and off for 45 years last year was the first couple of old coins I found here old being Indian barber and so on .Why didn't I hit these before  same area I looked in before . so this year 7 Indians not one in the 1900s 2 mercs 24 and 17 and a 46 roosie fairgrounds date 1893 (GOT TO BE THE WORMS ) lol anyhow hope you guys got out . sube

You could say that place is an Indian giver! Just don’t make the mistake of filming where it is....I’ll be on it like white on rice!

FYI It is proven that coins and good targets move around underground to avoid detection. Thus, you hunt the same ground over and over and continue to find different things. I try to throw them off by using different detectors; Excal, CTX 3030, BH 3300, Echo II. Sometimes, the targets don't hear you coming and you can snag a gold or silver one...but walk slowly and swing quietly...you might snag one sleeping, too.

Larry! Get in here, you're been in the sun detecting too long!

Great finds Sube! Amazing condition! I've yet to find a place that gives up older coins, but hope to hit some hopefuls after my detector gets fixed.
