fair price for a 18k gold ring/band

Can anyone tell me how much 18k plain gold bands should sell for by gram weight????

PapaJoe's site will give you today's price as $17.76 per gram of 18k with no markup.
If selling to an individual who will wear it, I'd add 50% markup if the ring has no dings and doesn't show wear etc. If he is a real friend of yours....don't mark it up.
If you are selling to a jeweler for scrap gold, only expect about half of the $17.76 rate.
