[/img] Went out for three hours nice day for once when not working tried a couple new settings ran ferrous coin with 31 to 35 disc out and gain at 15 sense at 28 manual 6 inch coil . Was a little bit of chatter not bad check all coins in auto +3 sense at 23 all coins would have been found running auto +3 . All coins found 4 to 6 inches .

Found a Buffalo and Indian same hole came in at 12.22 the only reason I dug it was at 6 inches a lot of pull-tabs come in at 12.22 also but there at 2 inches deep . I wanted to hunt where I did last week but they had a party going on in that building there so I went where the old grandstands were Lot's of iron here dug up about 15 nails with the coins .

Did dig up 3 nails that sounded pretty good but they were probably muti -falses from more then one nail.
Second 1920 buff but this one was a plain Indians clean up good but the wheat's looked a lot worse most had nails with them might of had something to do with it .

Hope you guys got out . sube

so you run 31 to 35 disc on the screen or moved the Ferrous line to 31 in the tone bins on combined mode?

thanks!

I run the disc at 31 to 35 keeps most of the nails at bay and gives the caps that I don't want to dig that sound to them a lot easier on the ears . Ferrous line set at 24 disc at 31 to 35 .

Tried running gain at 15 tried to listen for faint targets but there were plenty of small targets that were not coins that hit so this may give more imfo in a area that was not so target rich I cranked it back to 28 manual raise gain to 30 and continued on .

I'm going to try lowering my sense next time in this spot and see if anything else hit's . sube

yep got ya thanks  always something to play with on this detector.

I was fiddling with one of my Tesoros and it was only losing 1" depth from sens of 1 to 9 so its well worth turning these things right down so then hit the coin size targets and leave the small stuff alone , its something I like to do at really trashy sites when modem coin hunting maybe it does ok at old stuff too if not real deep.

thanks!! and well done on the coins!!
