Faint target boost question

Do most of you use this feature or do you set the volume control to where it's not active? Seems to me that it would be hard to tell if a target was deep without pinpoiting it.

Up to 4 you have modulated audio shallow loud, deep soft...and up to 10 you slowly lose the modulated effect till shallow or deep sound about the same....For those that wish to know the depth of a target say in a park where you let the shallow one go its used by many..For those that wish to hear those deepies would run at 10...Remember when ground balancing set the volume at 10 to be able to hear the audio clearly for accurate ground balance. After balancing put it where you wish...

Try adjusting your volume to different levels after youve pinpointed several objects and you should be able to tell which will work best for you.

Thats what Ive been doing and Ive settled on using the volume set at 10.

I have a slight hearing problem not bad enough to wear a hearing aid(My wife will disagree). I have always kept the volume below 4 to give me a idea about the depth of a target before pinpointing, which I think this is were the CZs excel with this faint tone.I think too many of the new detectors is full on or off.
