Failed in my quest to reach 30 in 6 months, kinda!

Well I could not quite do it. 30 in 6 months before I go on holidays for a couple months, I hit 28 gold. Mind you I only really started hunting hard until late in late Feb. (thats my excuse ) And I did find three silver rings with gold inlay that I am not counting soooo really... ha ha.
On the brighter side, I hit a milestone, picking up over 100 pieces of gold and plat in about 18 months of real detecting.
Going on vacation for a couple of months, heading down south to central america (panama) to hit the beaches there and chill out. wish me luck

Old part of Panama call casco viejo... beautiful old buildings... historic... the tide goes way out, good for hunting. May go to pearl islands (survivor tv series) and then the bulk of the time in bocas del toro and islands

Maybe you didn't try hard enough....nice haul...Got a buddy that bought property in Bocas Del Toro about 4 years ago,sailed a 42' from ST Pete to Panama in 8 days to leave the boat there at the dock for living while building a house..

I had a great time there a year ago, hence why I am going back.... beautiful beaches, laid back and best of all.... cheep! $15 for a hotel room
Had my detector with me and to my surprise struck out on the gold, found lots of relics and stuff (musket balls, old coins etc) but no gold in 5 weeks there! I would be really really happy with 2 pieces
