Factory reset after ea coil swap? Ok - did I miss that - I swear I've read the manual several times... Can anyone elaborate on this?
Wheres my coffee....?

I'm gonna half to look that up...I've never once ground balanced or factory reset the thing since day one, two years ago July...probably should do both, what with solar flares and Fukushima and all.. Still, it seems to work just fine,
Mud.
The factory reset should be done after a coil change from one size to another (especially from a large coil to a small one). My machine was acting a bit squirrely (actually a lot squirrely) when I went from the 8.5 x 11 to the 5x8 coil so I gave Garrett a call, the rep said to try a factory reset, I did, and that fixed the problem. After the reset, the machine ran as well as it did before the coil change.
I do the reset after every coil (size) change and I no longer have the issues I had. Much smoother running now.
Just a heads up on this no very well mentioned procedure.
I had the same issues when going from the big to small coil the machine wasn't acting right. I did the reset and she was.back to her old coin finding self so every time I switch I do a reset now. Have never had an issue since.
