Fact of life plus a F70 tip...

Its all about correlating sens., threshold, freq. for the area your hunting and once you do your unit will almost be a a turn on and go unit and if subtle chages are needed very easy to change facets at will. Don't forget to ground balance frequently especially if you change facets. Naturally good ground and lack of outside interferences are a plus but its doable for your area with a little patience and experimenting so forget asking about personal settings as if you live in Oregon or Florida each State or area may need specific setting for max. depth and stability..
Heres a tip I felt my unit was just not working correctly and had a hard time rebooting it back to factory preset but after I did it works like a different unit. I learned this from rebooting Xlt's and Gta's over the years and something to keep in mind.
I see some F70's being posted on Buy-Sell classifieds not because they are not a good units but because the were not learned well which doesn't happen overnight.

Dan,

In addition to your reasons for seeing F70s on the classifieds, some of the units on the classifieds are there because someone just wanted to try a F70, OR has too many units, or simply needs the money for something else at the moment. They also may want to sell the f70 while it is still in pristine condition, unlike an old cz6a laying around, it can be sold easier. The reasons could be endless. Maybe something more interesting to them is also coming out soon, who knows.

You hardly ever see a used CZ-6,5 or 3D for sale. I wonder why?? Not because they are hard to sell for top dollar.

if you are responding to my comment on the CZ6a, what I mean is, MY personal CZ6a is OLD, really shows it is definitely a used unit but works great, yet has gone way done in resale value from when it was new. The newer the technology AND the lighter weight the unit is improves chances of making a good sale without too much loss to the seller.

Maybe a CZ6a was a bad example in my post, it was only to indicate the age aspect.

Are you primarily a coin hunter (parks, yards, etc) or do you do some relic hunting as well? Any trips for gold occassionaly? The F75 is a very versatile machine but it could be an over kill if you are strickly a coin hunter. They are both good machines but there is a big cost difference.

Coin hunter and have F70 set up in modes 1 and 2 for shallow clad and rings in a local park and of course different disc and notch and stronger for deep silver and older coins and can switch with the press of a pad...
