Faceplate scratching

Ive been using an Ace 250 for a year and a half and the enviromental cover on it is so scratched that its hard to read the LED...Im currently on pre-order for the AT PRO but was wondering if I should buy an ace cover to protect my new detector from grit on my hands and such??? You guys think it would fit ??

Environmental covers protect against a lot more than just rain. Keeping the entire control box in clean, unscratched condition will insure your machine has the highest possible resale value when you decide you want to trade it in, or sell it to get a different machine.

:usaflag:You would think that Garrett has an enviro-cover lined up for the AT Pro. They have one for all the other models (don't they?) Call 'em up and inquire about it.

I had a thought! (1st one this year!:stars:) What about using one of the clear disposable shower caps like you get in a hotel. I am sure you can buy them somewhere. Then when it gets dirty --chuck it.
