FA ?

oh boy 45 degrees, i was able to find a spot to check out some things on my recently returned upgraded machine. Near as i can tell the air test depths are close to what others report, although on the clad quarter I am finding 13" difficult (although i know things get more faint with distance and maybe with my bad hearing i am missing some). My operates quieter in 9.0. I havent decided yet, even after seeing the video clip, if i have true ma- ma or not. I still maintain all the pinpointing is with a different type of voicing than before, and i want to see how it works with a coin underground yet before i decide about that. I have a site where i found a draped bust and part of the site is a total metal dump spot so im hearing the FA might help with that. However when im just experimenting out doors with the FA process, all i am getting is a totally unstable machine with, machine gunning like static and id numbers changing 5 times a second. the static is so distracting i dont see a benefit. I can calm it down if i lower the sense way way down, is that normal? thanks for any input CO

Some times when I use FA I have to drop the sens. to 80 and make sure the GB is on the money. Also in 9.0 mode. You lose depth with the FA mode and I don't like cutting back but I am looking most time for things that are masked by another object and normally not that deep. I find it has to have a DD coil in order to get the separation it needs. The concentric coil doesn't have the separation needed. So far it has pulled a few silvers that had been missed by many other MD's
