Junky newer fairground. Although i wasnt tightly griding, switching the machine to FA mode, to see what would happen, i went over some areas i had just searched . I was very surprised at all the coins i had missed, they must of been masked by all the junk sounding off. Now they were all clad and even with the sense cranked way up i think every one said 2 inches deep and they were just an inch or two deep or surface. However i can imagine picking up some jewelry that way. And also say clearing out the shallower clad that may be masking deeper targets. I could see that being handy also in those small town old gravel or cinder parking lots at the old diner or hotels. Or lets say immediately the next day after the fourth of july on one of those nicely mowed park fields where thousands sat to watched fireworks. I would also wonder about shallow targets on shore lines. Finally around some of those cellar holes that farmers later used to throw all kinds of junk in. Im not saying it will ignore a very hot non coin target, but Im sure it definitely filtered out a lot of crappy stuff . For all of the above im not saying of course in place of a thorough search, but perhaps as the pre sweep so to speak. I think a very slight reduction in swing speed helped for me.
