F75LTD question

Stanl

New member
Hi all,

I'm not a Fisher user. So, this may be common knowledge to everyone else.

Why do the large dealers (no names) list the F75LTD as available in May or June, when people on this forum already have one?
And have had one since Oct2009. Is there an even newer version coming?

I have had my curiosity increased about Fisher F75 & F75LTD in the last couple of days.

Any help would be appreciated

Stan----The ones we have in our hands now are the camo F-75 LTD's (which came out over the holidays & around the first of the year).---Same deal with the camo T2 LTD's---I heard there was 500 of each produced.----The new ones that are comeing out are the black ones (both the F-75 LTD & T2 LTD) and the release date for both has been pushed back to mid July from what I've heard.----The way I understand it, the only difference between the camo & the black ones is just that--(camo & black)----different paint job.-----That's the way I'm understanding it anyway.-------What I'm wondering now is, how many of these new black F-75 LTD's & T2 LTD's are going to be produced?----Makes life interesting, doesn't it? ---------Del

Thanks Del & space_weaseal,

So, it's a Fisher marketing ploy?

Seems like if (Teknetics) Fisher could produce the first batch of 500 each, they could run full production.

I guess time will tell what the story is.

Marketing plays a huge part in most things that are sold, metal detectors are no exception.

The answer may be as simple as FT underestimating the demand for the LTDs with their initial run.

Or maybe they just plain realized one of the basic rules of marketing: restricting supply on a popular item fuels demand disproportionately.
