Got invited to hunt an old fairgrounds with some friends and we had a great day, until the MUD run us out, in the morning when we got there the ground was some what froze, a little hard to dig but you could, by 1 in the afternoon the field was like thick soup, mud, mud and more mud, your feet weighted about 20 pounds each........we will return.
About 10 minutes into the hunt I got an 1902 Indian, about 20 minutes later I got a 1904 Indian, another half hour I got a nice dime signal and it was an 1882 Seated Liberty another hour I got a nice signal and about 7 inches deep out came an 1846 Large Cent I had a great day. Some of the other finds were a Barber Quarter, a Seated Liberty Quarter (which was on top of the ground, you could look down and see it) More Indians and early wheat cents. Hope everyone has a great new year and lots of Great finds.............Lee

Nice hunt, Lee. Old fairgrounds are my favorite sites to hunt and it appears you have found a good one. Those are all great finds and a nice way to end the year. Have a great new year as well. HH jim tn
