F75 Verse F70

I am trying to decide if it would be worth the extra money to get the F75 or spend a few bucks less and get the F70. Anyone have both that can tell me if it would be worth the extra money. What the benefits are in the F75 compared to the F70. Or would the F70 be better for me than the F75? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I would say the best buy is the F70. The F75 has some more bells & whistles that some folks may never use. The F75 has a better stock coil being a DD.......but you can always add that later to the F70 if you choose as it's better in trash.

I have a F70 as a backup to my Etrac.
If it tells you anything, I only use the F70 when field hunting.
It is rediculously lightweight, fast, and easy to use. I love hunting in 3H mode, meaning iron sounds low, middle tones give a medium sound, and high & NICKELS give a high tone. I have not purchased an F75 coil for it yet, but plan on doing so very soon. A screen cover is a must, as the screen is very flimsy and easy to scratch/damage.
Call Lynn at Detector depot and ask him about the F70, he will talk you in to it for sure

I had a F75 and didn't like the quirky discrimination on it. I have a F70 now and really like it. It's a good straight forward machine that performs well. I guess it depends on what type of hunting you do. Some relic hunters swear by the F75. Being a coin hunter, the F70 fits the bill for me just fine.

I have both and find the F 75 to be deeper. Whether it's worth the extra cash is up to you. I relic hunt and the extra depth is important in working a hard hit site for those deep "leftovers". If you only use the F 70, for sure get the 11" DD coil. It's defintely deeper than the 10" concentric (at least in my ground). And the 6" coil is a must for trashy areas. It is very deep for it's size. I wanted the F 70 as a back up for my F 75. Plus, I liked having the benefit of swapping coils.

I just got a F5 and my initial thoughts are very positive, but I don't like how flimsy and unprotected the screen is and how it's gotten scratched up in just a few hours.

What do you use as a screen cover? Does Fisher sell a screen cover that's not a rain cover? Or have you come up with your own mod to cover the screen?

Get the f-70....extra 6" coil....sunray pinpointer....if any money left f75 coil.....you will be ready to tame the ground!!!

I got a F70 and it has done well for me. I went ahead a got the F75 DD coil for it and it does really good. The F70 is short on a few features, but it is light, quick and easy... wonder if my cz will ever come out of retirement ?
