If anyone off interested, tonight at 9:00pm Eastern on Relic Roundup the discussion will be on the upgrades to the F75 and the guest on the show will be a representative from Fisher. You can call in or email questions and follow along online. Just go to www.americandigger.com and click on the link to Relic Roundup.

Site says sign in and click connect. It also says cluck on green arrow to listen. No green arrow and no way to type a name? Frustrating!!

i didnt sign in and mine has a green arrow..they are having audio problems and restarting the broadcast..

Go figure. The machines don't work and neither does the broadcast.

Very disappointing! Either they screened the calls or no one having concerns about performance issues associated with the modded machines called in to the show. Instead, what we heard was a lot of 'motherhood' from the Fisher guy about the new machine feature-set and then a general discussion about relic hunting.

One guy did ask if the modification would have any negative impact and was told "no". The guy from Fisher also said having the DST on would result in lower depth. That's why they allow it to be turned off. Hmmmm. . .

Maybe you missed it. There was the one guy who asked if his unit would suffer a loss of power from the upgrade. The answer was in 9.0 yes the DST has the noise cancelling filter that reduces the sensing a couple of inches but the 9.1 turns the filter off and the detection strength was expected to be the same as the older units.
.

Perhaps the DST does not disengage when in AM and it doesn't go QUITE as deep , even if it is QUIET :)

Why is mine deeper in 9.0 than 9.1. I lose several inches in 9.1 in disc and all metal. Checked and looked at manual then checked again. What's up with that? While 9.0 is a little jumpy at a site that would send it into fits it was very stable into the high 80's. Something I could not do before when in boost. Very confusing but as long as 9.0 works who cares. Will be at it again to see if it will work near some power lines.

9.0 D.S.T. is on
9.1 D.S.T. is off

From the manual:
The user may choose to operate with DST or without DST.
The default setting, at power-on, employs DST
To turn DST OFF, perform the following:
1. Turn detector off.
2. Press-and-hold the red MENU button and
push-forward-and-hold the TOGGLE SWITCH.
3. Turn the detector on, while you are still holding the controls.
4. Continue to hold the controls.
5. See the "90" displayed.
6. Rotate SETTINGS KNOB clockwise.
7. See "91" displayed.
8. Release the MENU button and TOGGLE SWITCH.
Upon release of the controls, the detector will operate WITHOUT DST
DST status is saved to memory after the user performs this procedure.
Each time the detector is powered back on, it will continue in the programmed setting.
The same procedure is used to turn DST back on, except that the SETTING KNOB is turned
counterclockwise to change "91" to "90".
DST can be turned on or off as desired, but each change requires the user to first power the
detector off.

In my air test this morning I can say 9.1 is off. I can only get it to settle down by turning the sens. down. Yet 9.0 is stable and can hit a dime solid at 11" with sens at 99. Pretty sure I will be running 9.0 DST on all the time.
