F75 -T2 ?

Hi guys, I have a F75 and was wondering if I would benefit getting a T2. I like using the NEL 6x8 coil. And seen that a 6x8 is available. But not on the F75. I like all kinds of hunting. So what is special on the T2. With the new T2+ package , it's a great deal. Thanks , GS

Which Nel coil are you referring to?
The Sharpshooter comes closest at 9.5x5.5 and you can get it for the F75.
I have one on my F70...works great.

If you have an f75 no need to get a t2. I've had the f75 an versions and same with t2's and maybe my favorite the f70 now the Tek Patriot. I used sensitivity to shrink field of detection from coil. Use sensitivity 10-30 and the machine behaved like I put a smaller coil on it.. still gets amazing depth. The sharpshooter coil is a very very good coil for these machines.. same with tornado.

Totally sorry REVIER, I meant to say SEF coil , not NEL coils. I agree the NEL sharpshooter is a excellent coil. I have one on my F75 and ATGold. GS

Thanks , I think I am going to hold off on the T-2. I had the F70 and kick myself for selling it. I was thinking of getting the Tek Patriot a little while ago because the price is great. And also miss my F70. But thought , well hell, I would have to go get a bunch of coils again for another detector. So didn't end up getting the Tek Patriot. I have bunch of coils for the F75 , so maybe if I can get a good deal on a F70 I would buy. GS

A...I have an F70, it us my prime and I thank the MD gods for the day it came into my life..
2...The Patriot IS an F70, every coil you have that fits on the F75 will work perfectly on the Patriot.

Thanks REVIER , for some reason I thought I heard the F70 coils would work the Tek Pat but was thrown off because it was a Tek product. GS

The thing jumped labels, got a cool patriotic paint job and the price got lowered by about $300 but otherwise it stayed the same.

Honestly I was aiming for an F75 a few years ago when I wanted to upgrade and probably would have been very happy but a brand new F70 a friend in my MD club won one in a seeded hunt and he was a Whites guy so he didn't want it.
I bought the thing for $400, couldn't resist that price, and it pretty much paid for itself in the clad and gold I found with it in less than one season and has gone on to continue paying me back monetarily and in bucket list finds...plus a lot more gold and silver, ever since.
Now I got so used to it and the way it works and feels to me I probably wouldn't be happy with an F75 now if I got one for free.

I have no plans to get rid of it either, 4 years into it exploring all kinds of different setting combinations I am still finding crazy ways to make it excel in my oh so difficult mineralized iron infested devil dirt here in the SE.
Nothing I have seen anyone use or heard of using works any better, here, but a friend just told me he wants to try the new Minelab when it comes out.
As much as the positive hype it has and the little amount of info that has been leaked from well respected field testers I have read no matter what they say the real test will be if it works anywhere near as well in my strange dirt, E Tracs and CTX's don't seem to have any advantages here in my world.
At least someone I know will be testing one here one day.
Till then I am sticking with what I know and what works well for me.

I have the T2 and have thought of getting the F75, but have essentially talked myself out of it. The F75 is back light the T2 is not, and the F75 has concentric coils available and the T2 does not. But the T2 has a better Iron range which is gonna help with relics more... Also the original T2 doesn't have the DST shielding so its kinda chatty due to any EMI about.... the F75 is a little quieter. . Not worth the investment for so few differences in my opinion... I would drop the cash on a completely different machine or go the cheap and maybe snag a nice used additional coil, so i could get the most out of my F75.
