F75/T2 - most controversial machine ever?

Standing back and looking at the strong opinions flying around about the F75/T2, I wonder if it's perhaps the most controversial detector ever made... does anyone ever remember another machine (of any marque) which caused so much debate?

Obviously time and experience will eventually sort out those comments which are valid and those which are unproven.

Grouping them as "F75/T2" will also cause controversy. Using an auto analogy: same frame, different engine and suspension package.

I'd wager VHF vs. Beat Frequency or Pulse Induction vs. VHF caused riots, but the Internet wasn't geared up to air all the news and views at the time

There is still a lot of heated discussion about the Explorers and the DFX. It seems you either love them or hate them.

Try going over to the DPReview Camera forum and mention any camera with positive or negative post. You will find that the opinions on Findmall are very mild in comparison.

As for the F75 I can say that it is not so much different than other detectors I've used as far as operating it. Where it is different is in performance.

Although it does have a few new bells and whistles, it mainly just does what other detectors do, but does it much better. It also don't do some of the things other detectors do to annoy you.

It reminds me of an employee who keeps getting promotions because he/she is always on time, has perfect attendance, and always does what he/she is told to do. The F75's performance and consistancy keeps me happy.

As for the T2, I cannot comment because I've never seen one.

From what I see on the various forms, both have a pretty high batting average positive wise. There is nothing controversial about my F75 in my mind, anyway. HH jim tn

those that try a detector and don't care for it for one reason or another. You see that all the time on the forums.

I'll say this, my backyard is one of the worst areas I have seen for interference and the T2 handled it MUCH better than a lot of other highly rated detectors. Bad coils and other issues aside the T2 is one Kick Azz machine.

The F75 and T2 are very great detectors if you know some simple tricks how to set it up. If guys don't know these tricks they overshoot the detectors or just use the wrong settings for the place they hunt.
I wasn't too impressed the first hours with the F75, but after a few hours i found out what setting to use when.
Visit my page: F75 page

Most guys who don't like it gave up on a great detector to early.
