There is a lot in town where I live being scraped. And the guy who does the work lives up the street from me. I was detecting a lot down the street from my house and he told me to go and hit the lot he is working on.
I would say plowed field came to mind so I set the F75 and fast grabbed. The ground was so filled with iron that the detector was making sounds all of the time. I tried everything even the T2 and it was going insane. So I went back to the F75 and just dealt with the noise.
I was using 3H, sens at 50, disc 5, and plowed field. I tried all of the setting but PF calmed it down a bit. The lot is near a police station so maybe that had something to do with it but I really think it was the ground.
I live in the Gold Country of Calif so it can get tough out here. I start getting those razor iron hits but a high tone mixed in.
I turn 180 and still lock in so I put my probe in the ground and bam silver. The total count was $3.75 in silver quarters. The token was a hard target as were all of the targets. But when I got that repeat buried by the iron that was stronger I would dig.
I really love the T2 but the F75 allows me to really tune it for my ground. What a good hour of hunting and I will be going back. I just found they are going to move the dirt from the lot in town to a lot down the street from me for land fill dirt. They are going to start doing that Thursday. Right down the street. I think I can kick back this summer with the finds I have had this week alone.
Calif Paul, I still want to go hunting with you????
