F75 SEF Coil on T2 LTD? Please advice

ACQ

New member
Folks,

My 11" DD coil has dead and I've sent it for servicing to Teknetics, I still got the 5" but it is too small for average use and I was wondering if in the meantime I could use an F75 SEF coil in my T2. Any thoughts?

Cheers
Antonio

my T2 Ltd is capable of 11 inch coins with the 5 inch coil .....we hunt in good ground....sensitivity 95 disc 18-20 BP mode...
So is my F75 LTD.....

I don't have one but people have mentioned it doesn't go any deeper but covers more ground. (I find that hard to believe, especially with the power of the T2???) So, if the ground isn't too trashy it might be a good way to cover lots of ground.

I'm not trying to go any deeper, I'm just trying to use a temporary fix until Teknetics repairs my 11" DD and send it back to me.

A,

Don't take this wrong but you may want to hit some of the trashier areas with the 5 inch while waiting on your other coil. Just have to go slower but those small coils are killers. I would'nt take a chance on a different machines coil myself. JMHO HH.

Antonio, if the F75 SEF coil has the screw-on connector, it ought to work. That said, those SEF coils are much heavier on the F75/T2 models. I've used some on other makes, and they generally worked find, however, there are other considerations.

First, the cost isn't in line with practicality, so far as I'm concerned, because the 11" coil will be back soon. inn the meantime, I am certain that many of the sites you're hunting can still hold good targets that you can find with the 5" coil. They coil is actually just over 4
