f75 question

Hi new here!
I've been sneakin in and reading your post on the fisher f75....Very informative and my question is-What vdi # do you get on a platinum ring?.....If someone knows please post.....thanks

Sounds about right.
Just dig all those 24 and above VDI.
Just in case you didn't know the old 1850's gold dollars will read around 24 too.

I've not found one, but I have checked two. One, a medium size ladies hit 27/28 and a larger, but medium size for a man hit 31. HH jim tn

Checking several, and it depended on the angle too 25/31 ..Thats air test. May vary in the ground.

Thanks so much,it means alot to get help...I live close to a ballpark that stays active most of the year and lots of garbage to pick out with the good...Haven't found anything to brag about yet!...My son-in-law lost his wedding band that was platinum and wasn't sure what it would read......Guess I'll be collecting alot of trash to find it.................:detecting:

I use 25 to 30 range on mine.Any number below that and it's probably not going to register.I have just found a ring using that setting.

I was once told that the ratio of tabs to good finds was about 100 to 1. So far, I am waaay ahead on tabs.....expect the trash, part of the game. Sorry, I can't provide an answer to your question, I have only checked gold jewelery with my F75. Can anyone tell me if platinum reads the same as gold? I would think it would. Anyone?? (not trying to hijack your thread, just trying to help us both......hope you find the ring!!)
