F75 problem

I just purchased a used F75. It seems to work well but I cannot seem to be able to remove the bars from Iron, Foil & Nickel. Both bars in iron, lower in foil and both in nickel. Is the machine broke? Thanks for any help.

Turn detector off then hold the red button in and the toggle out and turn detector on and that should do it.
 
Not understanding the notch procedure has probably caused more F 75 problems then all actual problems combined...IMHO, anyway. Glad to hear it worked, now dig some goodies. You have the right machine for doing so. HH jim tn
