I just recently purchased a used f75 for a back up it was under a year old,but it will not run in Je mode at all without the numbers jumping up and down,i've tried readjusting all settings to quiten it down but doesn't help at all, does it need to be sent off and recalibrated?I have a new f75 that runs perfect in he same area.

SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS DEFINETLY SOMETHING WRONG, MINE STAYS THE SAME. HOW DOES IT DO IN DE MODE? IF IT IS THE SAME AND YOUR NOT HUNTING AROUND ELECTRICAL LINES THAN SOMETHING IS WRONG.

DE mode is much better, but still chatterly, there is no powerlines around for a half a mile, but as soon as you put it in JE mode its starts going crazy

Try swapping the coil out, may be a coil problem so if you have another give it a try. Dan

check your frequency levels to see if they are set on the same level. I think you push the fast grab switch forward and hit the menu button to change it.
