F75 or CZ series ?

I read a lot of good opinions about F75, I really would like to know if it is better than a CZ (dual frequency) on coin hunting, in plowed fields and among iron.
For instance, how does a F75 has an 11 inches coil behave against a CZ5 (or CZ3D) with the 12 inches Sunray coil ?
Many thanks to all of you, nice forum !

The F75 is good. I haven't had much time with it. I used it in a plowed field and then at a park in town today. I think the F75 burbs and pops to much, Like I said I haven't had much time with it. I played with it for over two hours today and could not get the F75 to calm down. Right now I would pick my C$ or 3D with the 8" or 12" coil over the F75, that might change, it don't look good though. I am glad my C$ didn't sell.
Please don't bash me on the F75, I just think the 3D would work better for coin hunting.

Thanks Tom for your answer.
That's the kind of answer it's difficult to express in a period where everyone is getting involved on F75.
I think it is a great detector, it is the son of the T2.
I really would like to try it, but I am worried with "burps and pops". But from what is written here, the chattering is not at the same level of T2.
Here in Italy we have different coins, also very old ones, like Romans; these old coins are among iron, lead, old clay bricks, many detectors badly behave on this conditions.
Anyway, why do you suggest me C$ ? I am interested to know something more, even in comparison to F75.
Forgive my poor english.
Daniel

In iron or mineralized soil, I would recommend a F75. I haven't owned a F75 but have owned a T2. The T2 is excellent in iron. For areas that iron ridden and the mineralization is too high I would grab a CZ. I'd guess it depends on your soil and what type of sites you normally hunt. Both are good machines with different strengths.

Great to have someone aboard from Italy. Must be an amazing place to hunt! Roman coins must be like our new clad! :)
I wouldn't worry about the the little "clicks & pops". This kind of goes with the territory when you have a super-sensitive, deep detector. Also minieralization plays a big part in what you'll hear. Not sure of your minerals in Italy, but I know in England I can crank the sensitivity way up & search in silence. Plus, there are many options to make the F75 a more silent searcher. Folks who want to drive up the sensitivity over 80 or 90 must expect some chatter. Like many Fishers, the F75 runs silent & deep half power, or 50-60 sens. Also, I really like the all metal mode. It has a 1 tone with target ID, and with the seperate threshold (yea, not teshold);) you can dial that thresh hum down to nothing if you want. Then you will hear & see iron, but have a silent search...
YOu also mentioned "plowed fields". The F75 actually has a "plowed field" process, or setting. It helps in a disturbed soil matrix....
I think you would LOVE the difference in weight. I can't swing a CZ with that big 12.5" coil unless I hipmount...even then it;s coil heavy & unbalanced. The F75 & T2 are the best balanced detectors I have ever tried. Some feel it's worth getting for that reason alone...saving the shoulder:) The DD-coil of the F75 is thin & not heavy & amazing in iron trash.....oh, yea, another point is the F75 is a FAST sweep unit. The CZ's you must go very slow to avoid missing things.....
I love taking the F75 to fields and just whipping around with that 11" coil. Seems I can cover a site 3 times as fast....
dig deep,
Bill

Yor English is so good it shames me. I thought I was clever as all get out working my schedule in high-school to avoid a foreign language. Now I kick myself. Though, I have picked up British, Australian and some Canadian on my own.

The "falsing" and phantom signals get to be a part of detecting. I'm uncomfortable with a totally silent detector because I never know if it is penetrating well or over-discriminating. I purposely raise the sensitivity until I do get some. Keeping the coil at a consistant height above the soil makes a world of difference; especially if you avoid scraping it across the ground. With the display and by "X"ing hits it is possible to interpret the extra noises. The F75 is fast enough that you should not miss close targets even if it does get "busy".

I haven't purchased my F75 yet, so you are entitled to take this as speculation, but I'm hanging around here because I have decided that will be my next detector. I swing a Minelab Musketeer Advantage (no display, no notching) and have to rely entirely on the sounds, so I know a detector that is murmuring and percolating along is chewing it's way through the soil. After a while you get to recognize the bites from the nibbles. It's like fishing wet flies and watching the line where it enters the water to detect a strike vs. just the fly bouncing along the bottom.

hunting as a boy with a lunchbox Whites unit listening for those faint wispers of a deepie coin on TR-mode (no, not that guy, transmitter reciever) ;) That's why I like the background hum of all metal so much on the F75....

I am very glad to read the guru's answer, I read a lot of your messages, every Fisher is like a son for you ! :inlove:
The fast sweep speed is a very important skill, it allows you to cover a lot of ground, it is nice if you have little time, or if you have a great area to search.
With my XL PRO I was so happy with the sweep speed, it increases the depth; I would expect the same attitude on F75, if I correctly understood your words. I have to sell the White's, too much heavy for a ten hours challenge.
A great all arounder unit, F75, I think I will follow your advice.

PS a question: when you sell overseas, you cut the VAT from the price. I mean, if Usa's VAT is 15%, the price should be divided for 1,15. Tha's because I will pay another 20$ of Italian VAT (which is named IVA).

Edit: thanks Charlie, I studied English at school fo some years, my biggest desire is to speak it well, but without being in an English country, it is almost impossible.
Your review of F75 is quite similar to other in the forum, F75 seems great !
