F75 opinions

I'm in the market for a new metal detector and the two that interest me are the F75 and the Etrac. I know this really isn't the place for this question but I felt I would get more opinions here. The only thing I'm really looking to get out of this machine will be silver coins, mainly 6" up to 11' or 12" deep. I will be hunting mainly in old parks and schools which will have quite a bit of trash in them. How, in your opinions would the F75 and the Etrac do, if you have ever tried them. Would there be significant differences between them one way or another.

First , look at the current thread on the F75ltd and EMI---it's there for a reason
I swing both and it's a no comparison when considering urban , trashy , park and school sites. The discriminator , tones and stability of the E-trac make it like comparing a Harley to a moped. The 75's quick and nimble but the ET tells you when to dig. The 75ltd sounds like R2D2 while the ET sounds like a nightingale.
Your dirt will be the biggest concern. In mine the ET is absolutely stable while the 75 can be intolerable when it GBs in ground above 85 in an urban environment. I got the ET for 1200 new and compared to the 1100 new for the F75ltd it's the much better deal---especially since my 75 is now sitting in El Paso undergoing warranty repair or recalibration after 60 days use.

Don't let the made in US crap sway you too much---I wouldn't be surprised if First Texas wasn't a Chinese acquisition by the end of the year. Oddly enough, I can't wait to get the ltd back as it's absolutely effortless to swing physically.

Thanks, yeah I have a place I can get one for just under $1200 too. But I am just getting tired of the heavy detectors.

Don't let the EMI thread sway you too much either. Most of us are happy to wade through the EMI to get the good stuff. The F75 is a fast reacting challenging detector. I have had more experience with it than my Explorer but both found good things. One of the keys is the weight and the feel of the machines. The F75 feels like a feather compared to an Explorer. If you like long hunts on hunts on rough terrain the F75 is the big winner. I have tried a lot of detectors and I think it comes down to practice and your willingness to work with a machine. Yes the Explorer will hunt with less interference from other machines and EMI. The F75 will cover more ground faster, cut through deep grass with the boost, and lock on with great VDI numbers that let you know what you are digging. Keep an eye on the EMI post. We may find that the new F75s are quieter.
