F75 LTD upgrade?

I am seriously thinking about the F75 LTD as my next machine. I have been reading some good reviews on it. I currently have the DFX but I know I am not getting the depth that I need. Recently we dug some 3 ringers at 8" and I could barely get a chirp moving so slow as not to miss anything. I mainly hunt CW relics and old coins. No clad for me. So I am looking for depth and a very reliable machine. I have no problem going to a new and different machine. What is the learning curve going from the DFX to the LTD?

Hey there. I have both the DFX and the F75 Ltd SE. The F75 seems to be a simpler machine to set up, but I do like the DFX's ability to utilize pre-set programs, and tweak, name and save your own programs. I feel both machines have a good variety of coils to choose from. The F75 is super light, but the DFX is not bad at all. I think it would be easier to learn the F75 after owning a DFX rather than the opposite. The F75 can be chatty and part of the learning curve includes learning to listen through the chatter. I'm still getting the hang of that part. I have had both these machines and a Sovereign GT for less than a year, so I am in no way a seasoned user. This is just my newbie opinion and I hope it helps. Keep in mind that swing speed is very important when using the DFX under most conditions. Try your in ground tests again with various swing speeds and see if it makes a difference. I mention this for two reasons. One, that swing speed was an important, eye-opening lesson for me to learn about, and two, I'd want someone to give me the same heads-up. HH. Matt

Hi, I Have owned most top brands (except minelab). I currently own the f75 (sold my DFX to get it) I cannot and will not say anything bad about the DFX or any whites products because they are excellent but in my opinion the DFX has too many controls and takes allot longer to set up. The F75 is much easier to learn and easy to setup, even in the dark where I had many problems with the DFX in the dark. The hardest thing I had to get used to was the chattering but once I got used to that everything has been great. (the newer F75 ltd seems to have almost eliminated the excess noise) I detected with a friend for about six months and consistently took in double or triple of the good finds until he finally went out and purchased a new f75 ltd. In one month he has found more good finds than most of the summer and in his opinion no machine comes close to F75 ltd. I was worried he would have a hard time getting used to it but he had no problems. To sum it up, the F75 ltd in my opinion (and my friends) is the lightest fastest easy to learn and powerful machine out there and you just can't go wrong.
I remember during the first week that my friend was using his machine with the 5" DD coil he asked me to listen to a signal that was loud and clear and I confirmed that is was probably a coin but he could not seem to find it. I told him to dig deeper and even I was shocked at the 11" deep hole (measured) to find the nice wheat cent. He had it in Boost Process but only had his sensitivity on 60 and the 5" coil and the coin sounded as if it was on the surface. That's Powerfull.

It is the deepest machine out with awesome separation. Let me know If I can answer anything specific or help you on pricing.
Coming from a DFX you will be impressed!!

just curious!..did you check the signal with your standard f-75?
wow!..11 " on a wheat!..super!
