F75 LTD, still gets the job done

I have spent the summer learning two new machines. I felt like i had a good handle on the F75 so it has been sitting a lot. Sunday, while working with a new machine I lost a battery and had to go to my back up detector. The F75 fired up and felt like an old friend. We were hunting an old house site in a cut down corn field. There was plenty of iron but the F75 gave me a good seven inch deep signal. I dug down seven inches and got a 22 shell casing. Not rare, not valuable but a real confidence builder. I went on to a yard hunt where I got a nice 1909 non VDB Wheat. Again it was at least seven inches deep and rang out clear as a bell. Got to love the F75. So looking forward to getting back into the farm fields this Fall.

The F-75 is a very capable unit. Alot of people give up on it (including myself at one point) because it is a different kind of machine.
I won't ever sell mine.

The F75 from the first too the present are excellent detectors. You just have to adapt the settings to your area of detecting.

The reset speed is the difference in just being another detector............ to being a detector with outstanding performance.

The erogonomics complete the over all package... The depth is awesome ........

A big "Ditto" with Elton.

I was in the same boat as you but always kept going back to the trusted F75 and am here to stay. The boys at FT really did a great job with this one and really cannot see how they are going to improve; except maybe a dual or multi frequency unit.

You are very correct about the F75 getting the .22 casing at nice depths. I have dug many small objects like that at 8-12" depth range with my F75. I just have to ask, "what other unit can do that"?

Fisher makes some hot hot hot machines! I had a T2 which is very similar to the F75.

The key is learning your machine well. I have a friend has used an mid-range$ White's machine for 7 years straight, hunts a ton, and I'd put him up against anyone with their brand new top end detector. It's amazing how well he knows the screen numbers, tones, and slight differences in sounds. It's like magic!

My GF used an F2, my back-up machine, for a while. It was amazing how after some time with the machine would tell me 'I know that's a pull tab cause of blah blah blah....' or 'that number jumping on those numbers is junk.....'
