I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I like to hunt these field near my house however in the morning's when the grass is long and is wet from the morning dew my machine is useless. Every time I swing the coil and it hits the grass I get a sputter from the machine. This can get quite maddening when it is making hundreds of sputter noises. It seems to be less of a problem in all metal mode but Disc mode is useless in wet grass. I also have this problem when I hit the woods and I hit wet undergrowth. I have used my coils in water already so they are waterproof. If anyone has an Idea on how to overcome this problem it would be appreciated.

I swing the F70 in a lot of the conditions you describe, and rarely have the sens above 70 and keep the thresh at -3 pretty much all the time. Hope this helps, I know they are differrent machines,
