F75 LTD for the duo?

GoVidGo

New member
I like having a MAIN and a BACK-UP detector like a lot of people.

I have ran with: MAIN: Minelab X-terra 705. BACK-UP: Fisher F2

I upgraded a few days ago to a MAIN: Minelab E-Trac. BACKUPS: 705 & F2

Then I thought, 'why not just go for broke and get a F75 LTD as back-up'!

Think the E-Trac/F75LTD would be a good 'duo' to go with? the 'slow & low E-Trac' with the 'run-n-gun F75 LTD' ??

The 705 was a 'run-n-gun' detector and it was fun. The E-Trac is a beast going slow and deep, but I kinda like the fast style sometimes.

make any sense on that duo... or am I just nuts?

any other combos you think would compliment the E-trac? I have had a blast with the F2 and think Fishers makes tight machines. I think my favorite part of the F2 is the 'lightsaber' sounds of the pinpoint on the F2

Its the variety this sport offers that is a big part of its appeal. A guy almost needs a modified golf bag stuffed with detectors carrying multiple coil sizes, batteries, food, drink, a caddy and a cart to really be set up right! Look at those bass fishermen, they have at least a dozen rigged rods and reels ready to go, a couple grand worth of tackle, 2X that in electronics, a 30K boat, a 40k truck, just to catch a fish they are going to throw back? Look at those deer hunters, a nice rifle set up is a couple grand, just to shoot at a critter once a year! Lookat those dopes with their expensive riding lawnmowers that spend all their time mowing something that will look like crap a week after they are dead! Yes, you are making perfect sense to me, GoVidGo!

I agree, you most definatly need a back up.I tried using the gold bug as a back up for the f75ltd,but there was to big of a difference between the two.So i dumped that and hung on to my f4,light easy to run, nice little machine with decent depth. And Mud I paid 3 times as much for my boat as I did for my truck, have way to many rods and reels, top of the line electronics, but if its legal its dinner haha.....hh rick in mi.

mudpuppy,
How did you know so much about me, I have had 3 bass boats, a safe full of deer rifles, and 3 lawn mowers (my beast below), but I only have 3 detectors. I like to justify those by needing them for different areas and backup as a backup excuse:lol:

GoVidGo,
If you want F75LTD for a backup go for it, that will make you a mighty fine machine backup or primary.

I agree with you Ron the f75 will be a great back up for GoVidGo,and that mower(is that what you call it??)is well it just is haha...hh rick in mi.

Well, you have a pretty good selection of detectors but your missing one!
An old Teknetics Hip mount 8500 with a 10" spider coil for cherry picking LARGE ball fields.
You can sweep these detectors fast enough to mow grass and they work better!
Swinging only the staff and the coil is as close as nothing as you will get!
They ID great!
The fast swing will kill bottle caps!
The 10" coil covers a lot of ground!
The staff adjust WAY out there, so its pretty easy to cover an 8' to 10' wide path!
I thought everybody had one! LoL

That mower is an ebay find and it wasn't cheap either!
He's got $25.00 in hex headed screws in the tires for studs!
And those wheels on the front are not OEM! they come off something else kind-a like it! I couldn't help it, what a rig  But if you seen what he had to mow you would see why he needs something like, I'd just got a goat on a rope.

GoVidGo....I just got an F75 today in the mail. I can not believe how light it is compared to my E-Trac. I got it for a back-up, someone wanted to trade, so I traded my other set up for it. Haven't used it yet, but it sure is light....did I mention it was light?
