I got my F75 LTD a sort time ago. it is not like the cz 7 i used some years back. i have learn to use the controns but still have to start over sometimes when i do not get it right. I coin hunt Parts, Old time Church and School sites, I love old silver, watch fobs and tokens. I have used m to heainelab but gave up on them after heart surgery just to heavy. about 3yrs. later now i am stronger and back to try again love this hobby. FISHERS was my frist love and now will be my last. any help will be appreciated GARY WICHITA KS thank you for looking

the biggest mistake most make is cranking up the sense to high causing alot of chatter and falsing stick with the factory settings for a while until you get used to it in areas where emi is bad try running 1f tones and keep your sense low even at 40 you can still get descent depth hh

What I do is
#1 auto ground balance then switch to manual GB and turn it up 1-3 higher
#2 sen.at what seem with the least amount of chatter
#3 dics. out everything I don't want and notch nickels back in
#4 tones at 3H that will give nickels a high tone
#5 df
#6 Swing & Dig HH :fisher:

If all you hunt is coins, what I do is max out the disc setting. Sure you will miss the nickels, zinc and IH pennies, but you will get all the rest and you will not lose depth with the higher disc settings.

Also agree run in single tone.

Could you also use your settings and notch in nickels?

I think the site/dirt you hunt will decide what settings will work for you better than anything else. You may find that at numerous sites the best setting is in your trunk while you get another detector as the 75ltd is not the best trashy site coin machine out there. If your ground has lots of iron and GBs high don't even think about the manual ground balance. Instead , do a auto ground every 25' as there is no auto track feature on the 75 and as it looses the ground balance the chatter and falsing increases rapidly. I often have to GB more often than that in my soil and the gb number can change 8 to 10 units from click to click. To run quiet your ground/site may require you run sens down to 25 or 30 and you can expect 3 to 4" at that setting. I find notching in the top half of the nickel and zinc ranges cuts out most of the trash and 3H tones are acceptable but uninspiring. You can either disc to 65 and notch back in or disc at 16 and notch out as you go up--eenie meenie. The disc only has half segment regions anyway so specific VDI discriminating is not possible like the minelab or White's machines. Frequency shifting is a placebo except when close to other machines so don't waste your time trying to mitigate chatter with that "feature".
I had CABGx5 in 2010 and use the 75ltd only when the conditions allow. For coins the minelab is far superior

I GB in auto say its 58 i then go to manual set it at 61 switch back to disc it will follow you . that way it pretty much takes care of that for me.

1# DP
2# Sen 70
3# 3 tone
4# notch 36
5# Dick 15
Also in the PF mode does really good in the sand.
Cl mode flat out deep also you can hunt slow in it

I have the F75 and Etrac. The F75 is an awesome trashy site detector.
I hunt 4T
Disc 7, I run very little Disc. on both my machines. Old habbit.
Autograb
dp mode
I run Sen. between 85 and 90. Your site will dictate how hot you can run. A buddy of mine runs his at 70 all the time, does great with it.
I don't use any notch
5" DD coil will be a great addition too..

I've been going to a local park that is just full of trash with my F75SE Blk using the 11" DD as well as my MXT Pro with the 6" X 10" DD. I have done quite well with both.

I went back this past Sunday and used the Fisher 5" DD coil exclusively. About halfway through my 4 hour hunt I started using the Static All Metal Mode ad the Motion All Metal Mode. I just swept very slow and monitored the VDI readout. I ending up finding 16 dimes and 6 quarters in the same areas that I had gone over previously with the 11" DD Fisher and the 6"X10"DD Whites.

I'm going back this weekend again and try it some more in other areas. The static all metal mode has VDI readoiut and you can go as slow as you need to pick between the trash and ferrous items.

I have a 5" Excellerator coil for my MXT Pro and I'll give that a tray to.

Interesting. Thank you gonna try static myself. Haven't as yet I've been happy with je. 2f. Disc 5 sens 75. Pickin right thru the trash. Will be interesting to run in static. HH. C t

All good advice. Static is for large targets, and requires a lot of pulling the trigger due to drift. I run my sens at 35, yes 35, on JE mode, no discrimination, and no notch. I use the large 11" coil, but the 5" coil will pull out the coins too. Tomorrow Im going to try disc and notch settings as Im going to know place that gives up jewelry. I switch to all metal in the sand, everything else I try this setting first. You have a lot of options, find the settings that work for you. May also freq shift too for better results.

If the trash level is not real high I like to hunt in BP, switch over to motion all metal, threshold -2, sensitivity 60 and ground balance as often as needed. This setup allows hunting in high EMI areas with low trash.
