F75 LTD at FT service center for 1.5 weeks so far ...

I think my 11" DD coil was failing on my F75 LTD, but it's been at their service center for 1.5 weeks now...last I checked a couple of days ago no updates, so I wonder what they will find.

Maybe it's getting retrofitted with the new F75 LTD2 technology eh? :drinking:

Hope she's better then new when she comes home so I can test her out with the new 15" DD :beers:

HH,
Brian

I'll be interested to see how it does perform. F75 LTD2 with 15"coil, hmmmm, not sure I want to dig that deep.:beers:But I'll toast with you that your's comes back hot. HH jim tn

I've needed work on my Minelab Etrac and Fisher F75LTD over the past 18 months. I'm disappointed to say that my experience with Minelab was much better. I was promised phone calls back from Fisher service that never came. I needed to follow-up on status updates on a continual basis, else I heard nothing. I nearly lost it when I was forced to argue with Felix regarding troubleshooting an intermittent power (start-up) problem.

And I prefer the newer Fishers over the Minelabs...

Sorry to hear about your service problems. I just got back my Omega 8000 and my experience was just the opposite of yours. It was there four days and came back good as new.

They lost my 11" DD coil  They offered to replace it with a new one, and that's fine, but of course I wanted to know if the coil was the problem.

It's been there almost two weeks now, and aside from loosing my coil, I don't know if they found anything, hopefully it comes back working great (maybe they'll apply whatever updates they did to the F75 SE.

I've got a big ghost town trip coming up at the end of the month, I'd hate to have to take my AT Pro instead (it's too heavy, although it is a great machine IMHO) :smoke:

HH,
Brian

Intermittent problems are the most difficult to fix and I suspect that Fisher has no written work instruction to systematically troubleshoot these types of problems.
