F75 is on the road again back to First Texas to fix something they said they fixed and did not fix. Have to tell you I am disgusted right now with the

What was it that they were supposed to do?

Now understand me real good. I probably got more time on my F75 then 90% of the majority of the guys that own this machine. This machine when I am up and moving around gets hunted more then all my other detectors. I love this machine. It is the best one out of all of them that I own. I have said nothing but good things about First Texas and the F75. Even though I have had more problems with the F75 then anyone out there. I have always kept from bad mouthing the machine or First Texas. This time they replaced the large coil the small coil is OK. They replace the split hand grip foam. They tighten up the control head.they even replaced the trigger switch which got bent a few times in the woods by limbs and vines and Brier patches. I did not even know the large coil was bad other then it would not Fast Grab G/B on the fly even in good ground. I did tell them of that problem also. It would manual G/B so no problem but it did not Fast Grab every time in good ground. I was not even worried about any of this stuff. What I wanted was the springs changed and have them do what ever that had to do to shut up the falsing when the coil was bumped or when the battery box was bumped or if you twist your hand or shook or bumped the detectors coil.

Now it is not like I did not go out of my way to write each and everything that was wrong with the detector down and I even printed it in Capital letter so there would be no problem reading what I had written. They even put the seal update in the control head which I paid $50 for. I don't remember what the rest of the update included. I forget.

So before I call First Texas i wanted to be sure my battery box was bad and I was not the problem. I called my Buddy, Vlad (Tim), and asked him to check his F75. I even used his machine a few days as he wanted me to check it out and let him know if it had any problems. I could not find one thing wrong with his except when he bought it new the dealer he got it from did not include the coil cover  . Maybe you have to buy them separate .I did not have to because, I got a great guy who I deal with. I was not sure if I had shook Tim's machine or not or bumped it to see if it falsed. I thought I had but, I had to call him to get him to check it before I called First Texas. His does not false.

When I called this time you can bet it was not Mr. Nicey Nicey, talking. I just put it to them straight up. It took a couple of days to get the authorization from First Texas to ship it back to them at there cost and I got no beef there. That is the right thing to do. So tonight I got to write all this all over again and send it with the detector. I also got to put off my trip to Fl. till this machine gets back and I can check it out and make sure it is fixed right this time. Well thats my story and I am sticking to it. I do think I have been very patient with First Texas with all the problems I have had with the F75's that I have been Thur. This is the third one. I have never ever had any problems with any of my Fisher machines and I still got 5 other Fishers besides the F75.

I think I will just buy a F70 and throw this F75 over in a corner. Maybe the F70 will be a no problem machine. Maybe my luck with it will be better then the F75s I have owned. If it was not such a damn good machine when it is working I would probably do just that. I have not gotten the F70 yet cause I have not seen enough reports on it to decide if I want it or not. I am just not willing to be a Genie Pig on the F70. Not this time. Well you wanted to know and there it is.

So is the F75 a excellent machine???? Yes. As far as First Texas goes. They need to read the information that is sent to them by there customers as to what is wrong with the detector and fix the problem. PERIOD.

Well one good thing is, it is getting a free ride back to First Texas to get fixed and I got to give them that but, I had to insist on it to get it done. OK I am out of here and writing down the info. for the repair fix. Hope they read it this time. :D: :D: Later Jerry aka Tinfoil
