I was thinking over the weekend that my first informational post on the F75 had alot of references/comparisons to the T2. I felt bad to those Fisher users who have yet to try or see a T2 & couldn't relate to what I was getting at. Plus, the F75 is quite different & deserves to stand out on it's own.
So, with near 50 degree weather here yesterday I was able to get alot of hunting/experimenting with the different modes. I had an idea of taking some pictures while in the field to try to show better some of the features I was taking about. A pictures worth 1000 words sometimes...Just keep in mind this is a PROTOTYPE, and changes could be made before shipment of the final product.
This first picture is a shot of the F75 LCD screen in action in disc mode (the word DISCRIM is bold). I want to show things like the "notch slashes" I was talking about..(& no it does not look like a light is on) See the CONFIDENCE meter bars are near the top so it's very "confident" about it's nickle reading. A less solid tone, or a "jumpy number" weaker target the lines would be way down lower...

You'll notice I'm running with IRON all canceled (full slash) and the upper end of FOIL notched or slashed. To eliminate FOIL completely there would be a line through the word like IRON shows. I have conductivity number reading of 31 which also falls into the "Nickel" region. This shows along the top of the LCD and you can see the square block that shows around the word nickel. This reminds me alot of the CZ-70, 7A digital blocks along the top of that LCD. I believe CZ-70 fans are going to like this one alot.... On the right side battery strength is FULL.
The 2nd photo shows an better close up of the NOTCH "slashes" I had set up yesterday. Note only half of foil (or 5 digits) are notched..

Here we see the excellent feature of the constant readout of the ground mineralization like the T2. Or the "Fe3O4" ground reading meter. Here's a close up showing that soil I was working yesterday was ".1"....each reading is explained more technically in the T2 manual I forgot at home, but I think this is a fairly mild soil reading (will check later & update)....

The ground balance on the F75 is excellent & easy. Not quite auto, but it's done with a simple, quick push forward of the trigger & couple pumps of the coil. You see the word G.B. comes up when you push trigger forward. Trigger back would bring up word "DEPTH" instead. While balancing, the F75 has this cool "message box" that gives very important info like we see here...."Can't GB" (pardon the poor quality photo). The unit was telling me I was trying to balance on some metal & to find a "cleaner" patch of soil This box also gives instructions on how to balance. Says, "pump coil", etc. Another nice touch....

This photo also shows the 2 main buttons that do everything & make the F75 simple to operate. SETTINGS dial scrolls through everything easily. Also the last thing I was playing with "# of Tones" still has a square there in case I wanna "play" some more. Still in DISC mode as that's in BOLD as compared to the All Metal side. This pic got some sun glare on the Disc side, but it shows all the features of the excellent Target ID all metal mode. This is the mode I used alot yesterday. The sound quality is brilliant as compared to some choppy, static sounding all metal detectors. I had success yesterday digging numbers above 15. This also shows all metal includes a separate THRESHOLD control & separate AUDIO PITCH controls. Shows I'm in MOTION all metal mode....
....Next photo shows the THRESHOLD control in all metal. This seems more like the typical old fashioned threshold. For example, I was running in +1 & +2 yesterday which gave me a perfect background hum. Old school TH'ers like me will enjoy running some thresh and listening to changes of the real deepies. Others who prefer "silent searching" can back it down to 0, -1, -2 up to -9.

Finally, I took a picture of the improved lower rod. This is one full rod that's seems strong like the Fisher's we are usted to. The T2 had a Whites-like stem piece that some had voiced complaints.
