F75 Finds a Few

My digging partner Larry and I went out for a while yesterday, as we are waiting for the crops to come out of the fields so we can hunt older sites we hunted some houses that are going to be torn down, we found the usual clad and a few wheats cents, I wondered into a yard that I had not hunted and did pretty good as I found 2 Silver Washington Quarters, 2 Mercury Dimes and 1 Silver Rosy and a bunch of wheaties..I ended the day with 5 clad quarters,5 clad dimes,43 memorial cents,1 Canadian cent,18 wheat cents, 2 silver quarters, 3 silver dimes, a child's thimble and the remains of a large "Diamond" necklace. well maybe my "Diamonds" are really glass, they really did look good as they came to light in the black dirt. I ran the F75 at Sens.75,Disc.26,Notch 1, Tones 3 and jewelry. and it worked Great. I assume that there is some chatter, but it is so easy to ignore and the signals come through great, on one hole I got 2 nails out of the hole before I found the wheat cent, there was no problem hearing the positive signal. I started coin and relic hunting in 1971 and the Fisher F75, I believe is the easiest (sp ?) I have ever used. I will admit that I still dig a few bottle caps, I guess I have not mastered the bc mode. I only put a picture of the silver as I am sure everyone has seen wheats cents and clad. Thanks for looking and good luck digging............Lee

I love silver!!! NICE!

Great stuff!

You are right, I've been using different machines since 1972 and the F75 is the easiest to use. I have a fair amount of chatter when I use mine as well. I feel it gets deeper that way. The good signals do come through though. One thing I've done with bottle caps is if I am in an area where there are alot, I dig a couple and then notch out the numbers they come in. Works great and I can find alot of good deep signals and ignore the bottle caps.

Nice group of silver. As many silvers as I've found over the years, my heart still quickens when I see the glint of silver down in the hole or in a clod. How are you doing on nickels? I'm finding the 75 to be a great nickel machine, too. HH jim tn

I find I dig a lot of nickles, which is better than a penny any day. I use the 3H tone and the nickles come in at a high pitch. This way I can run my disc at 5, which is a higher sens. boost than running high disc. I only dig the high tones. I love it. Nice bunch of silver.

It actualy runs pretty smooth like that.............

you guys say the f75 is easy to use.i went to see the f75 and the f4 at kellyco andthey had trouble showing it to me.i use the cz-5 and cannot imagine an easier machine to use or ground balance unless it was automatic.only complaint pennies, dimes, and quarters all lock in on the $ sign, which iw what they are supposed to do.i am considering an x-terra or a whites machine.any comments would be appreciated.

I traded my X-70 in for an F75. The X-70 is a nice machine, but doesn't have the depth of the F75. I downloaded the manual from Fisher and read it several times before my F75 arrived. I also read all the operational post on this classrooms before it arrived. Once it got here I was familiar with the operation and had no problems. It's a hot, sweet machine.
