F75 finds 102 yr old gold ring

Hello everyone. Zaxfire here. Haven't posted in awhile but I had to show you what i found last night on a 2 hour night hunt in my local diggin hole. Using the Fisher F75 in all metal mode had a solid 16-18 on the VDI. I had second thoughts about digging it, but I remembered the Test dig I set up in my backyard with the 14K ring. It was in the same range as this target. I dug down about 4-5 inches an out of the hole came a gold shine. I checked the hole for stones just incase it was missing them. After cleaning discovered it was missing stones. That isn't a big deal. Gonna restore this ring and buy new stones for it. I put it under the microscope and discovered that it was a 14K ring. I then went to bed. WELL this morning I decided to take pictures of the ring. While taking pictures noticed another stamping on the inside of the ring. Put it under the microscope and discovered this stamping. B 1906 ...I took that as meaning Born 1906... I used to drink alotta beer with the born on Date.....?? Hopefully that is what it means. 30 degrees last night, but for the gold its all good....Zaxfire

Brilliant find M8. great bit of detecting, as i don`t normally dig if its less than 20 ish figues. I may lower my limit to 16 for a while and see if i`m missing anything worth not missing.:shrug:

UPDATE:::: \

Restoration starts today. Pictures as soon as the ring is straight. Still undecided on stones.

Well ring is back and straight as an arrow. Sized to fit my wifes small hand.
